Vision 2010
In 1999, the people of Charlotte came together to create the last plan for the Center City. The 2010 Plan set the course for ten years of growth and development. Several of the key planning goals and accomplishments are summarized below.

- 31,000 new employees
- 140% increase in property tax value
- $5.8 Billion in 2000 to $13.9 Billion in 2012

- Plans for three parks including Education Quad in First Ward
